counting sheep is more than a repetitive task. it's a shepherd's way for being grateful for the wealth he's accumulated. count your own sheep. see the friends, the possessions, the good times, the good things in your life. Look at them and let go. Then pick up the next gratitude. Don't tell me it doesn't work until you've tried it. It's very calming and you will go to sleep. Remember to be grateful for the "invisible things" like "I can see, I'm not blind" and "I can read." Be thankful for each cat. These are not your possessions; you're not a tribal shepherd. These are things that have become a gift in your life for a time. You're not homeless or cold, at least not right this moment. Enjoy that for a moment before you let it go. Millions over the world are dying of famine and you are not. Nice, huh? Let it go. Take your time. If you're having a hard time thinking of the next thing, maybe you haven't finished letting go the last thing. Let it go so you can revel in it if it stays.

I have been asleep since I got home from Lido's. I wake up every 2-3 hours to P and get something to drink. What a whirlwind existance!!!!!
