Can a chimpanzee be a person?

Austrian court declines to declare chimpanzee a person under the law.

"It is astounding how all the courts try to evade the question of personhood of a chimp as much as they can."

No Bush jokes, please.

I was watching the case closely, hoping they'd come to the right decision before my next appearance in Vienna.

Bad news.

The good news is, I guess I can still fling feces and get away with it. This can be lots of fun on a crowded streetcar.
