He's getting exercise. I hear him and Bailey out there all day, playing tug-of-war with toys. I finally started bringing them in at night because if I didn't crate them, they'd tear around and make racket all night long.
Walking a dog bonds it with its owner. It gives him or her a purpose too. They need to go on "a hunt". The benefits of walking a dog are termendous for both the dog and the owner. Your dog will calm down consideraly if you routinely walk him. He will love you too.

Mike, playing is not exercise! Dogs, especially young larger ones, HAVE to be walked. Please consider hiring a dog walker....
