Useful stuff

blogblah!'s comment about my laptop reminds me there are some gadgets in my house which I find useful.

The microwave oven is definitely one. The laptop is another.

And while I've avoided the iPod for a long time, the abundance of Buddhist and Zen dharma talk podcasts available for free via iTunes makes me think I may have to have one.

The electric litter box is another.

I am astonished to learn you don't have an iPod. I love mine. I don't say that about gizmos very often. Maybe you experience this already if you are using iTunes, which I thought you were...anyway it allows me to listen to my music in a completely different way. Any song I think of, I can go play within seconds. You can make all kinds of connections and comparisons that I, at least, never did before. Also, putting it on shuffle is pretty interesting too. When I hear things out of the context of "fifth song on the CD" -- out of the usual order -- sometimes it's like I'm hearing it for the first time.

Sorry you are going through crap, if you ever want to discuss feel free to email.
