9 p.m. or thereabouts

Fell asleep and had a dream about being chased by a wild bull. That's a first.

I fell asleep at about this time last night and dreamt about trying to escape a tornado, which is a regular dream event for me.

Does any one dream about green meadows, gentle breezes and sunny days? Does any one dream about love or peace or rest or happiness?

Yes. I dream about water. Wonderful water. Everything good about water. Always feel right and good and whole after the dream. Peace. Serenity. Wonderful water. Wonderfulness. It takes many forms - ocean, small pond, lake, my bathtub, etc. Usually there is a fish involved somewhere. The fish is good or just there. The water is always GOOD. Must represent the wholeness of life to me. I am sorry you only have bad dreams. I have bad dreams but mostly they are neutral or pretty good....which is really really weird because my waking life is terrifying most of the time. Maybe I am going to drown to death?

My dreams are of a fairly classic variety. My most common dream is one in which I explore a house. Rooms in the lower levels tend to be scary and rooms at the top tend to be bright. It's a dream about introspection, taking an inventory of my mental state. I can tell whether it's going to be a good or bad dream by the house. Often, it's a big Mediterranean, red tile roofed house that has a big atrium and fountain in the middle of galleries of rooms with balconies overlooking the flowing, cooling water. Sometimes, it's a fort of some kind. Once, rather terrifyingly, it was a huge treehouse and the rooms at the roots were Slaughter of the Lambs frightening (in fact, the dream cribbed from the film).
Have you ever tried "lucid" dreaming? If you're in a dream and can realize it, try to fly: if you can, you can direct your dreams to a certain extent.
I've had the "naked in public" dream in various forms, especially when I was teaching. Still get a re-run of the late for an exam and can't get in the locker dream now and again. Sometimes my demons chase me and I wake up in ball of blankets sweating. Pretty prosaic stuff, all in all.

Yes. But then the midgets pop up.

I was told that I would have peace, rest and happiness in a dream I had the other night if that counts.

In my dream, I went with a girlfriend to some New Age guru who was supposed to help give instruction on thoughts (sort of like the water pattern guy on What The Bleep). While “meditating” you could bring into existence a shower of paper from the sky, only they just called it a paper shower. It was a liquid and really looked like globs of that pink soap they wash your car with at Red Carpet. Depending upon your thoughts, you could have this shower wash over you in teeny tiny droplets or huge blobs that do not consume you.

Not sure what the exact purpose of this dream meant, as Mr. Guru took one look at me and told me I needed to take an hour-long nap in the pink stuff for it to ever help me.

Maybe the dream simply meant that my car is dirty.
