I never really thought that introverts were so misunderstood (being an introvert myself), especially considering that we are still 25% of the population. Although in some places (like Japan) introverts are actually dramatically more common. Indeed, some people don't know when to stop talking, but I usually just attributed that with an inability to read the situation.
Although on meeting other introverts I have to agree with one of the commenters from the other article; you aren't likely to meet someone of like mind at a bar or a club, but rather an art exhibit, at the park, playing or attending a concert, at a renaissance fair, or generally pursuing their own personal interests.
