I wonder what makes this video so charming to me. Is it the open refrigerator door? The corny old Mamas & Papas arrangement of the tune? The eyeglasses? The ukelele?
No, not at all gauzy. But the wry, lopsided smile is definitely a plus.
This video has been replaying in my mind all day. There is something about it that I find not only charming, but disquieting. Something about the unexplained open fridge, and something about her smile. It's as if everything on the surface is all 'girl next door,' but just below the surface, it's a different story. Something isn't quite right, and you know it, and her smile says she knows you know it.
