One thing about depression...

...it's reliable. You never know when your firnedfs will let you down, or even your enemies.

But depression?

Always there.

(Yes, that word up there is supposed to be 'friends,' and my fingers got ahead of my brain or something. But I kind of like 'firnedfs.' It's like found art.)

I think depression is a sign of higher than average intelligence. The only smart people who aren't depressed are sociopaths. They run things and create the social conditions that cause your feelings of depression.

I am depressed about social conditions, as any rational person would be.

But there's more to it than that. I'm depressed about my own state of affairs, even though I felt fine about them just a few days ago and nothing has changed since then.

I tend toward depression independent of any external stimuli or condition. It's hereditary, and I could take medication for it as I used to do.
